Her journey as a Holistic Therapist, although officially began in 2012, actually started in her childhood. Growing up she experienced the therapeutic effects of artistic expression, she discovered the powers of intention and creation by “playing” with some prayer, breathing, meditation and visualisation techniques and she became aware of her intuitive abilities and her “direct line” with the divine, but also of the fascinating connection between body, mind, soul and spirit and the interconnection between everything that is, through religious and spiritual self-studies and experiences. .
Ever since she was a child she was told many times that she has “magic hands that can take the pain away in an instance” so her hands were being requested on multiple occasions for relaxation and even headaches and back pain soothing long before she started her official training, her first unofficial teacher being her mother.
Later the “magic” touched many people through the jewellery she started creating and soon became a great part of her healing and transformation journey, especially at emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
Another part of her transformative path, motivated by the progressive physical sickness she was experiencing for several years, took form in self-studying and applying nutrition principles in her life to re-balance her body, and this led to a passion for better understanding the human body.
Officially she gained competencies in different massage techniques over the years, such as Swedish body massage, therapeutic massage, Russian honey massage, lymphatic drainage massage and reflexology, as well as in kinesiotherapy and physiotherapy, and on top of all these she also learned basic deep tissue, accupressure and myofascial release techniques, this way being able to take massage to a different level through unique combinations for an enhanced experience and optimum results.
Recently she became an Angelic Reiki Master/Teacher and also gained a Certificate in Expressive Arts Facilitation, she opened the doors towards Aromatherapy, Gua Sha, Ho’opono Pono, Colour Therapy and Crystal Healing certifications and she is also currently training in New Vision Therapy with Chris and working towards a Diploma in Oncology Massage.
Apart from these, she creates Origami cards & pictures, she paints -especially Mandalas-, she draws Mandalas on the beaches of Saint Aubin’s Bay, she practices meditation, Pilates and Qi Gong and she enjoys long walks and cooking –especially Pakistani & Indian food. She is also preparing to become a volunteer teacher at a non-profit organisation that empowers girls and women through education and skill training in rural Pakistan, by holding online beading and bead-weaving classes for jewellery making.
She came to Jersey in 2018 and joined the New Vision Therapy Team in 2019, when she also put the bases for her practice, ARAAM Holistic Therapies, ARAAM being the URDU word for “rest” as in “relaxation”, “cure”, “relief” and “comfort”.
