I’m Gail McPherson, a New Vision Therapist and CranioSacral Therapist based in Fife, Scotland, where I run Middlefield Wellness Centre.
My journey into complementary health began after a long career in nursing. I spent over 27 years working within the NHS in a variety of clinical roles before moving into a more holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
I began training in CranioSacral Therapy in 2008 and qualified as a CranioSacral Therapist in 2014. Over the years, my work has developed a strong focus on the nervous system and on understanding how different areas of the body influence one another.
Discovering New Vision Therapy felt like a natural progression of that work. During my first experience of NVT, my body responded in a way I had never experienced before. It felt deeply nourishing, as if my whole system was finally able to let go and rest. That experience stayed with me and became an important part of why I wanted to learn more about the work.
I was particularly drawn to NVT because of its gentle, hands on approach and the way it brings together work with the central nervous system, the vagus nerve and the body’s meridian system.
What I love about New Vision Therapy is that we are not simply chasing a symptom. We are listening to the body, looking at the wider pattern and working with restrictions that may be affecting balanced function.
I now incorporate New Vision Therapy alongside CranioSacral Therapy and other approaches within my practice. Each person is different, so my work is always individual, gentle and guided by what their body is showing me.
I am also passionate about helping more people discover New Vision Therapy and supporting its continued growth here in Scotland.
